Urtikaria usually caused by allergic or non-allergic reaction
which causing the skin tissue releases histamine or other chemical into the
blood stream, also called hives.
The
symptom
Urticaria symptoms can be seen in several weeks to several months,
it different in each individual, the most noticeable symptoms is when the skin
are itchy, bumpy and usually colored change more redness.
Sometimes when the red bump getting pressed it will turn blanching
white and can be a burning sensations after it pressed. In some case there’s
can be also a fever, fatigued, digestive problems and muscle soreness.
This bumpy and itchy skin can be appeared suddenly anywhere in the
body but they will not leave marks like scars or bruise after they gone.
The
Triggers
Urticaria can be causing by allergic of some typical foods (like
peanuts, egg, nuts and shellfish), some medications, insect sting, hot or cold
temp changing, transfusion of blood, infection by bacterial, pet dander and
some contact with poison plant.
Home Remedies
There’s several home remedies you can
used to treat urticaria, however if the symptoms are still showing after a
month, it suggested to see your doctor.
Cold Compress
You can compress the bumps with ice,
just wrap some ice cube inside it and put those directly to infected area for
several minutes (5-10 min). Repeat this few times a day.
Some people suggesting taking a cool
shower to relief the itch and burning sensation.
Cold temperatures can help shrink blood
vessel and blocking histamine releasing so can also reduce the itching,
swelling and burning sensations.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Add 1 or 2 cup of raw apple cider
vinegar to the warm water in the bathtub then soak inside for about 15 till 20
minutes once a day.

Alternate way, you can dilute it with
equal amount of water and wash it softly to the affected area or you can drink
a mix of 1 table spoon of apple cider vinegar with a glass of water twice a day.
Apple Cider Vinegar has natural medical
properties like antihistamine and others, also it can fight the bacterial or
other viral infections which causing urticaria.
Baking Soda
Mix a part of baking soda with 3 part of
water, and then apply it on the affected area for a few minutes then rinse it
clean with lukewarm water every day.
If you like you can add half cup of a baking
soda to your lukewarm bathtub water and soak in it for about 10 minutes a day.
Baking soda can help to relieve the
itching and inflammations also prevent further irritation.
Oatmeal
Add 1 – 2 cups oatmeal to your lukewarm bathtub
water, and soak in it for 15-20 minutes for about 2 times a day.
Another way is to make a pasta from half
cup of oatmeal with a little water, mix it until well and applied it to the
affected area for about 30 minutes and clean it with warm water, do it once a
day.
Oatmeal contains an anti irritating,
anti inflammatory and soothing enzyme prop which can help to relieve itching
and swelling.
Aloe Vera
To cure uticaria, extract an aloe vera
gel from the leaf and applied it to affected area for about 20-30 minute and
clean it with warm water, do this for 2-3 times a day until the symptoms are gone.

Aloe vera have a natural properties as an
anti inflammatory and anti microbial, it can reduce redness, swelling and
itching, also it can soothing the skin when it used.
Basil
Make a tea of basil to use it as home
remedies for uticaria and chill it then used it to wash the affected area 2-3
times a day.
Another way of using it, rub basil juice
and directly applied it on the affected area and leave it to dry then wash it
off with warm water, do it for few times a day.
Basil has a natural property of
antihistamine, it can combat itching and also reduce swelling and burning
sensations.
